London, UK: Cupcakes and shhht

If you are into great coffee, delicious cupcakes, slices (most vegan, and some even gluten-free) then you will like this cosy little café in Elephant and Castle. Right in the artworks pop up this little gem is literally the size of a shipping container.

Nevertheless the girls who run it managed to come up with a variety of delicious sweet treats in such a small space. Most is vegan but check before you ordered to be sure.

My friend Chris moved to Elephant and Castle and discovered this place. So I popped over and we had coffee with a vegan peanut butter slice (very nice) and a vegan AND gluten-free waffle with ice cream (veery nice!). I am normally not a fan of gluten-free but these waffles were really good and Chris couldn't believe the ice cream was vegan.

We pigged out a bit more and had a burger as well which I can more than recommend. All in all really good indulgent food and I will be seen again for sure ;-)

The staff working there are really lovely and food and coffee arrived quickly.

I had a peanut butter slice, very nice!

The interior is a mix of hipster meets steampunk.

Breakfast is actually served all.

The burger was amazing! I think I'll have it for breakfast next time on the weekend (greedy I know).

You also have seating outside.

If it gets too busy inside you can always go to the courtyard. Great in summer! Cupcakes and Shhht are in the corner on the right.
