Vegan gravy - super easy and perfect for roast dinner

  • SHARE
This gravy is super easy to make, meat-free, dairy-free and gluten-free and is a great accompaniment to vegan roast dinner, roast poatoes, fried smoked tofu or any veggies. It tastes amazing, a bit similar to peppercorn sauce and can be done in under 10 minutes.

I was experimenting for quite a while until I got it right. I made gravy before some time ago without using measurements or writing down the ingredients and I just couldn't remember anymore what I used back then. I recalled it was very, very tasty so I wanted to give it another go. I tried, tested and used all kinds of different ingredients (I'm just really getting into miso paste at the moment) and voila it worked. I was amazed how delicious it was, it tasted even better than the one I made previously. I though it would taste nice but this vegan gravy is really something else.

If you are less a fan of oil you can leave it out, but it does bring out the flavour more. And make sure you're using Dijon mustard (grainy or not doesn't matter as it will be blended anyway) and not English mustard (it would be a completely different taste).

This is really super easy! To make your vegan gravy add all gravy ingredients to a blender and blend.

Pour into a pan and, heat up and season to taste with pepper (depending on what BBQ seasoning you are using you might not need any pepper at all). Cook on medium heat for 5 minutes.

Pour over your roast dinner, roast veggies, smoked tofu or whatever you like your gravy on. Enjoy!

Vegan cranberry cheese

I have to say this is the best vegan cheese I've ever made. The flavours came out just perfect and the sweetness of the cranberries in combination with the savoury flavour of the vegan cheese is an absolute winner. This dairy-free cheese recipe is super easy and perfect for a vegan Christmas as well.

Vegan herb cheese - spreadable and easy to make

I made this vegan cheese recipe because a friend of mine was asking me for it so I came up with something that's easy to make with only a few ingredients. The cheese base is made from cashews and I avoided starch and reduced the amount of oil as well.

Aduki bean and sun-dried tomato hummus - exceedinglyvegan.com

Aduki bean and sun-dried tomato hummus

I am a total hummus sapiens and have hummus almost every day. The UK has a shortage of hummus due to production problems of the supplier of the main supermarket. So I thought I make my own special edition hummus with aduki beans (also called adzuki) and sun-dried tomatoes and it tasted amazing!
