Super quick and easy frozen watermelon skewers and lemonade with watermelon ice cubes

Sometimes the simplest ideas are the best! Refresh yourself with frozen watermelon skewers and refreshing home-made lemonade using frozen watermelon instead of ice cubes.

INGREDIENT:

  • 1 watermelon
  • Skewers
  • Lemons or limes
  • Water or soda water
  • Icing sugar
  • Some mint for garnish
  • Vodka (optional)

METHOD:

Cut your watermelon into ice cube sized squares, put some on a skewers and the rest in a tupperware dish. Ideally make sure they don't touch each other in the tupperware dish so they don't stick together when they are frozen. Freeze for a few hours


For the lemonade squeeze half a lemon or lime into a glass of water or soda water, add a bit of sugar to taste and the optional dash of vodka. When the melon ice cubes are frozen add some to your drink for a refreshing twist.


Fancy healthy slush? Then just throw a few watermelon cubes into a powerful blender.
